To say I have a great love for art and design would be an understatement. Over the past few years, I’ve worked with several Fortune 500 companies and small businesses as an award-winning designer, specializing in brand identity for print and the web, and creative direction. Yet that’s just a hint at what I truly love.
I have a serious passion for typography, patterns, and luxurious paper. I love to create custom wedding invitations and personal product design. From early on, I had a distinct style — one that has evolved over the years to be a perfect blend of whimsy and sophistication. Today, I’m pursuing my dream of establishing a design boutique that reflects my work, my love, and my passion for art.
I live in Stonington, Connecticut in a quaint cottage, and enjoy the simple everyday things — like coffee, yoga, venturing around town, and spending time at the beach. I’m also a bit of a foodie.
I believe in telling stories, whether it’s a tale for a loving couple or a flourishing business and its early roots. I enjoy collaborating and building long-term relationships with my clients, creating everything from logos to alluring print materials and websites. The end result is a well-crafted story.
Salt shop + presswas born October 2015 and is a natural extension of my design studio. How it came to be is a story in itself.
I had started getting traffic in my previous studio, at the velvet mill. Since I already had products ready to sell, I built on the idea of carrying other artists and designers that I admire from California and Texas, all the way back to the east coast. The shop located in historic downtown Mystic, CT carries an eclectic blend of paper goods, art prints, cards, small gifts, soaps, body care, and home goods. From time to time, you’ll even spy small workshops in the space, as well as pop-up art events.
I started this blog 3 years ago as a companion to my design business, to promote the work I was doing and to share my inspirations along the way. It has been such an important outlet for me to share things I love and what inspires me. I also love that this space has allowed me to create relationships with my readers, other designers and likeminds as well as my clients. You will find inspirations in design, fashion, food, travel and everyday life.
