Whoa! I can’t believe I have not shared anything with you guys here since April! As always lots of old and new projects to share, and fall and winter time always seems to be the best time for me to “catch up” on my portfolio and documenting work and life. So hopefully more frequent posts coming your way!

So excited to share the newly launched brand for Mosaic. Mosaic provides sophisticated rental linens and fabric decor for special events throughout the world. To celebrate their 15 years of business a new look was in order that was both classic and current.

It was important in the re-brand to stay true to their values and design aesthetic. A few things played a significant role in the development of the new look were the use of a quatrefoil motif, and maintaining a reference to their signature colors while softening and neutralizing their previous palette.

Mosaic, said it perfectly the explanation of what inspired the new mark below:

“Combining clean & classic with fanciful & decorative elements, we wanted to update our logo, ultimately creating a cohesive design which captures the look and feel of our brand. In choosing a modified quatrefoil motif as our accent, it was our intention to define our brand with a shape that is founded in strong symbolic roots but is viewed as current and relevant to today’s world as well.  This symbol has been seen throughout the ages in a variety of applications. In some cultures, it has symbolized good luck and harmony. In others, it represents the synergy of the four ends of the world. The four lobes combine geometry and symmetry, and its Latin roots are derived from “four leaves”. Our interpretation playfully merges classic elements and modern decorative detail, paralleling our business desires to encompass a variety of styles in new and original ways.”
